JEE-Advanced (IITJEE)

The JEE(Advanced) will have two objective type papers. Each paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration of each paper will be 3-hours. Question papers will be in both English and Hindi. Admissions to IIT’s will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced) subject to the condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates of their Boards in applicable categories or 75% or above at their Std.12th Board Exam.

Type of Examination

There will be two question papers, each of three hours duration. Both the question papers will consist of three separate sections on Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Questions in these papers will be of objective type. In some sections, incorrect answers may be awarded negative marks. This pattern of examination is subject to change from the year 2014 onwards. In case of any changes the same would be announced by the NTs well before the examination.

Number of attempts in JEE (Advanced) Exam

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Advanced) shall be limited to 02 (two) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. The candidates passed + 2 exam in 2012 or appearing in + 2 in 2013 are only eligible to appear in JEE(Advanced)-2013. Candidates passed + 2 in 2011 or before or appearing in 2014 are not eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)- 2013.
